Amy | Jay - New Orleans Wedding Love from City Park.
Our #tbt brings you the wedding film from Amy and Jay's beautiful wedding day earlier this year in New Orleans.
Both Amy and Jay prepped for the festivities at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans so we were able to capture the nerves and excitement as each of them got ready for the evening to follow. Shout out to Ashley Bravo of the Traci Woodard Salon for nailing Amy's makeup and hair for the night!
You'll notice in the film that we were able to hear Amy recall how Jay proposed which ended up nicely mirroring the homily from their ceremony. I think my favorite moment of prep, however, was Amy's surprise reaction to seeing her son John Wallace in his wedding outfit. It's a priceless smile, and something we loved to see.
From there the bride and groom were able to work out some of their nerves and share an intimate moment between each other with a great first look before leaving to head to the ceremony just a hop, skip, and a jump over to Our Lady of The Rosary for the Mass; and I thought Father provided some great stories that helped us tell the narrative of the couple's day.
The night ended with the fun-filled, high-energy dancing reception at the Arbor Room at Popp's Fountain. Our friends Rewind Band provided the tunes and put on a great show for all in attendance. We get the pleasure of working with them a good bit, and they never fail to get the dance floor jumping (as you'll see in the film).
You'll get a glimpse of both the wedding cake from the Swiss Confectionery, Inc. as well as the groom's kingcakes from Bittersweet Confections in here. They were both delicious as well as appealing to the eye. In addition, you can get a great look at some of the floral arrangements designed by Fat Cat Flowers that were located throughout the Arbor Room.
Big thanks to Thompson Photography for working alongside us in documenting the couple's day. Brody and Katie were incredibly easy to work with throughout the day and produced some gorgeous shots.
